Tomorrow is Free Comic Book Day or as my buddy C.W. calls it, “First Christmas”. “What is FCBD?” you might ask. Free Comic Book Day is a single day – the first Saturday in May each year – when participating comic book shops across North America and around the world give away comic books absolutely FREE to anyone who comes into their stores. Check with your local comic book shop for their participation and rules. It’s a fun filled day for those who already love this medium and a great way to introduce others to the world of comics. Be sure to go out tomorrow and support your local comic book shop! For more information and to find a shop near you visit http://www.freecomicbookday.com/.
I also can now announce a couple of my titles available through Arcana Studios and Viper Comics, respectively. First up is my 88 page Graphic Novel “The Unemployment Adventures of Aqualung”. From the website: “For over seventy-five years, Agent Aqualung has defended the country from supernatural forces as part of the 88, a covert branch of the Department of Defense. A pink slip and a sealed letter sends shock waves through the covert initiative — they are being permanently dismantled due to budget cuts… Aqualung must navigate through unemployment, dating, oh, and evil plots from ancient gods and their flunkies. The real question is, can he stop them before his unemployment benefits run out?” If you’re a fan of comically twisted tales of the supernatural then this book is for you! Click the cover image below to buy a digital copy or pre-order a hard copy (due out in September).”
The second is a whimsical children’s book written by a young girl who decided she wanted all of the proceeds earned to go to the Make-A-Wish Foundation. From the website: “The Moon Vs. The Sun is a story that pits the two members of the solar system against each other, but also gives kids a chance to learn a little about the two in the process. It’s combination of bright artwork and playful story that gives readers an interesting story and a powerful lesson about understanding others.” Click on the image below to purchase your digital copy and help an amazingly worthwhile cause in the process.
Thanks folks and enjoy the (comics filled) weekend!
Congratulations, Alex! This is so exciting!!
