This past weekend I attended the Big WOW! (formerly Super-con) convention in San Jose and though I was only there briefly it really recharged my creative batteries. Conventions always have a way of inspiring and motivating me and Big WOW! was no exception. Seeing all the amazing work of the exhibiting creators, including friends and colleagues of mine, was exciting and I was amazed at how much the convention has grown since just last year. In fact, I’m thinking of getting a table myself in 2014 but more on that later…
One of the reasons I spent a short amount of time at the convention was due to my workload. One of the projects I’m currently working on is a bio-comic for Bluewater Productions and while I cannot discuss who or what the one-shot is about I would like to share this page of art which I am certain will divulge nothing about the story.
I am also still hard at work with my partner-in-crime and writer extraordinaire C.W. Cooke on our forthcoming creator owned project. We are keeping fairly tight lipped on the premise, storyline, etc. but I thought just for shits and giggles I’d share this teaser image cropped from one of the books pages.
And finally I wanted to share something which I found to be very cool: Fan art for Aqualung! That’s correct folks, “The Unemployed Adventures of Aqualung” is a bona fide hit…with at least this young man anyway. To be honest, having one person think enough of my work to emulate it makes it a success in my book. Enjoy, I know I did!
Congrats on the good review and the bio-comic!
Thanks Vas!
